Gone are the days when only men of the house would have the liberty to own an entire firm. Women in India are becoming successful business tycoons, taking country to achieve great economical heights. From owning fashion and retail brands to health products and services, women are leaving no stone unturned to take India to the top.

From online to offline, women are making a huge presence in the business world. Start up is also one area which is ruled by females for quite time now, whereas a couple of decades ago, not many of them would come upfront in this field.  

One such award-winning new-age entrepreneur, Dr. Ananya Roy, "Women, over the years, have evolved considerably to break the stereotypical role that society designed from them since prehistoric times. I have witnessed women to hold responsible positions,  standing tall with their own merit. I would particularly like to address those who come from tough backgrounds, with very little resources. It is an utterly accomplishment to come at a stage where they are running their own successful Ventures. Women are often side-lined due to various familial responsibilities and amidst all this, they often compromise on prioritising their career. While family is important, it also equally important to take stand and fight for oneself. I believe that a truly caring partner would understand and keep her career on the same pedestal as his. But the first step should be to state your choice and stand up for yourself whenever and wherever necessary, loud and clear. I sincerely hope that we see many successful women entrepreneurs in coming times."

In other words, to become a successful entrepreneur, a lot of women struggle and face usual trolls by the society. However, even though it's still not a smooth ride after all of us being so advanced, women are making efforts to make a marvellous mark in the business field and coming up with breath taking startups other than just continuing in their family business.

Needless to say, women are rising and shining as far as the business sector is concerned. Juhi Jana, a fashion designer-cum-entrepreneur, shares," I strongly believe that women have transitioned to becoming strong and independent individuals who have the choice to make the decisions that bring progress. I have been lucky to have been encouraged to be in an environment that enabled my dream to be a fashion designer and build my own brand 'Abhikalpana'. Having said that, we have long way to go; hence, we can see past the usual gender roles.

From the position of their own company's director to chief executive officer and team leader, women are excelling exponentially. As per research, the ratio of 'lady bosses' are at par with male bosses. Hence, gone are those days when one would find women at the top management only in foreign companies and offices; India and the women of India are rising and making the nation's firms proud.
